About Me

     I have held various positions throughout my working career that have greatly influenced my work ethic and how I approach getting things done. Starting out, I worked around my neighborhood performing various tasks, such as landscaping. I moved onto farm work where I really learned the value of working hard. I then went to work at a family-owned restaurant where I became the a dishwasher. Later, I moved to being in charge of the facilities and equipment at a local Chick-fil-A. My time at Chick-fil-A really taught me about how important teamwork is, working hard, valuing others and treating others with respect.

Currently, I am working in the IT industry where I provide help desk support, work with vendors to set up file deliveries and schedules, create custom programs to meet business requirements (using java, scripting, automation or SQL) and more! I desire to learn more in the IT industry and grow in my knowledge. I am interested in networking and security and have really been trying to learn as much as I can regarding those aspects. Continuously learning is important to me and I have been working to earning certificates to learn more, and grow in my position.

Farm Laborer

On the farm, I learned the value of hard work. We did all sorts of things, ranging from working on the tractors, preparing the land for planting and planting produce, landscaping, lumber work and keeping the place tidy.

Solomon’s Seafood and Grill

At Solomon’s, I worked as a part-time dishwasher. I quickly became the most favored dishwasher as I went out of my way to help where needed. I cleaned and polished all the stainless-steel surfaces and took apart and deep cleaned the dish washing machine. I reorganized the dish washing area and was also on top of the job.

Chick-fil-A

At Chick-fil-A, I started out as a team member, and quickly moved my way up to supervisor. I oversaw the exterior of the facility. I scheduled maintenance or work with the vendors. On the inside of the building, I oversaw all the equipment and machines. I would perform the maintenance myself, or work with the relevant vendors to ensure all equipment was working properly and efficiently. I was also in charge of the inventory where I would order the truck following the LEAN method. I also created an inventory tracking system that was adopted by other local Chick-fil-A restaurants to help reduce their food cost. Lastly, I oversaw the evening shifts where I created the responsibilities of the evening crew, as well as working with them. I set the procedures and standards that were to be followed on evening shifts and it resulted in consistently clean and quality closes which enabled the morning crew to be setup for success.

Managed Care of America

At Managed Care of America, I have been a part of all kinds of projects. Starting from taking over the development of internal applications using Ruby on Rails, automated processes using GoAnywhere MFT, wrote scripts on windows to filter/sort data to business needs and created reports using SQL. I also take care of all help desk tickets that come in by providing end user support. Maintain a Linux server that hosts the internal applications. Additionally, I also had to administer office 365 accounts and connect new users to the domain, when applicable.

90 Degree Benefits

At 90 Degree Benefits, I continue all the previous responsibilities from Managed Care of America. I also work with the executive team to ensure the migration and conversion of data from our legacy system goes smoothly as well as the continued operation of the new system. I oversee the data feed and administration of the data in our vendors system. Additionally, I create custom reports using SQL from a Microsoft SQL Server 2019 to meet business needs. Setting up and managing interfaces and perform other tasks such as validating data in the various departments. I also assist other branches develop custom reports. I also create procedures and documentation so others can easily follow.
